Hi there! My name is Alissa. I'm a content creator, course instructor, and entrepreneur looking to hire a Video Editor and Content Creation Assistant who is experienced in video editing (Adobe Premiere Pro CC), content repurposing (for Instagram, Email, and blogs), and content research/ideation.
A little bit about what our company does: At Alissa Rose Co we help people take strategic action towards building their first passive income stream through digital products with our online programs (courses and smaller digital products). Our customers mainly find us via our videos we post on YouTube.
We have ~81,000 subscribers on YouTube and ~6,000 followers on Instagram

JOB PURPOSE:
The Video Editor and Content Creation Assistant role is a remote position largely responsible for assisting Alissa with her busy content creation schedule. These duties include, but are not limited to, editing videos for YouTube, repurposing that content for Instagram, email, and blog, YouTube thumbnail creation, Instagram feed post creation (graphics), content writing, content topic research/ideation, and keyword/SEO research.

JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
// Video Editing:
Alissa is looking for someone who is proficient in Premiere Pro CC and can edit 10-15 minute videos, optimized for YouTube according to editing briefs that will be provided.
- Produce rough cuts for approval
- Finalize YouTube video content which includes: trimming footage, putting clips together on a sequence, adding transitions, text, graphics, SFX, and music where denoted.
- Color correct footage
- Sync audio files to video and fix and/or normalize where applicable
- Ensure the final edit is logical and in a sequential order
- Continuous exploration and research of best practices/ways to make the video editing/content creation workflow more efficient

// Content Repurposing:
Creating YouTube videos is a fulltime job in itself because of all the moving elements. That would be a huge waste to not “stretch” that content by repurposing these “long form” content pieces into shorter videos, content pieces, and graphics for other platforms.
- Scrub through YouTube videos and recognize good content to repurpose (for Instagram reels, feed posts, and stories)
- Cut teaser clips for Instagram and the YouTube community tab
- Autonomously derive short-form content ideas from community comment sections and repurpose larger content pieces into shorter ones after approval.
- Repurpose YouTube video transcripts (created via Rev) into blog posts with headers and graphics

// Content Research/Ideation:
Content ideation is another important aspect to creating great content, after all a great piece of content stems from a great idea.
- Conceptualize video ideas (for YouTube and Instagram Reels) based on competitor research and trending topics
- Conducts SEO/hashtag/keyword research for YouTube titles, descriptions, and Instagram
- Skillfully design high converting thumbnails for YouTube in Adobe Photoshop based on click rate research/analytics
- Analyze community comment sections (YouTube comments, IG DMS/comments, and Emails) to take note of popular/trending topics/questions for content creation purposes

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
//Experience:
- Expert level experience editing in Adobe Premiere Pro CC
- Experience with content creation, content writing, and a little but of copywriting
- Thumbnail creation in Adobe Photoshop
- Audio enhancement in Adobe Audition
- Experience creating Instagram graphics in Canva
- Understands SEO and keyword research for YouTube platform
- Understands hashtag research for Instagram
- Prior experience working with someone who has a successful YouTube channel is required
